Know when to stand and when to ask the dealer for a hit. It's never a good idea to play Blackjack on your gut feeling. There are basic rules that most players follow when playing this game. A total of 21 is Blackjack and you are a winner. If your cards total between 17 and 20 you stand. With a total of 12 to 16 you should take a hit when the dealer's cards equal 7 or higher.
